Infinite Campus

Infinite Campus advocates educational excellence for all Milwaukee Public Schools students, parents, and staff through a collaborative effort by utilizing a secure, friendly, web-based system to track student data and communicate student progress and needs.

All teachers of K5-grade 12 are mandated to use the Infinite Campus grade book for all courses in order to allow parents and students to follow their ongoing academic progress online.

The use of a powerful, integrated student management system is becoming standard in all public schools, and the expectation that parents can see their child’s information online with the same ease that they can access their financial information will drive the need for teachers to consistently use this system with proficiency.

The Infinite Campus grade book allows teachers to keep track of evidence of student progress on standards. All calculation of grades takes place electronically and immediately as grades are entered, yet teachers have full override abilities for all report card grades. Teachers can enter grades and complete report cards from school or home on any device with Internet access. The information entered into the grade book by the teachers is then available through the Internet to MPS parents and students in the Campus Portal. Students can receive notifications about attendance and grades on their mobile device, and messaging between the students, parents, and teachers is available. This makes the Infinite Campus grade book an important resource and parent communication tool.
